Visit Broadway in the Cotswolds
Gateway to the Cotswolds and one of the most beautiful villages in England, the houses of honey coloured Cotswold stone have lured visitors for centuries. Its unique geographical location makes Broadway the ideal base from which to tour the Vale of Evesham and the Cotswolds. Where else could you enjoy the peace and tranquility of village life and still have access to so many places of interest, including Broadway Tower, the Norman style battlemented folly built in the 18th Century, and standing at 1,024ft it is the second highest point in Worcestershire. It inspired many writers and artists such as Sir Edward Elgar, John Singer Sargent, William Morris, and Mary Anderson. With many art galleries, antique shops, luxury hotels, quality shopping and eating places it will ensure that you return time and time again.
Broadway hosts the Broadway Horticultural & Craft Show on the 8th September. A large traditional horticultural and craft show held on the village green, an afternoon filled with entertainment, refreshments and stalls. Broadway is celebrating the Olympic Torch Rely on the 1st July, which should excite those awaiting the 2012 Olympics. For cream teas visit Broadway Parish Church Fete on the 4th June.
