Visit Bromsgrove in Worcestershire

Located close to the junction of the M5 and M42 and not far from the Lickey, Clent and Waseley Hills, Bromsgrove is a thriving town with plenty to see and do.

Formerly a centre for both the wool and nail making industries, it is now at the heart of a successful commercial and industrial area.

As well as a bustling town centre with numerous shops and eateries, Bromsgrove boasts a rich architectural heritage which is evidenced by buildings like the Parish Church of St John, Grafton Manor and Perry Hall, former home of the famed poet A E Houseman, to whom a local trail and town centre statue are dedicated.
In keeping with the artistic theme, the Bromsgrove Music Festival which runs from late April - early May is a must for music lovers. The Festival covers the musical spectrum, from jazz to classical with many internationally acclaimed artists performing.

Just outside the town is Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings where visitors can roam the 15 acre open air site housing over 25 historic buildings including a 1940s prefab, a windmill and the national collection of telephone kiosks.

Additionally, the Worcester and Birmingham canal runs close to Bromsgrove and it's an ideal destination for numerous leisure activities. Winding through the countryside, the canal starts at the River Severn in Worcester and passes through Tardebigge locks, the longest flight of navigable locks in the country, with 30 locks climbing 217 feet (66m) before reaching Birmingham.
