Stourport-on-Severn

Stourport-on-Severn owes its existence to the construction of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal in the 1760s. This town, with its lovely Georgian buildings was once one of the busiest inland ports in the Midlands.

The town is not only intersected by the canal network but also the River Severn and River Stour creating endless leisure opportunities and is now an inland resort with pleasure boats cruising on the canal and the River Severn.
