Autumn in Malvern Festival

The Autumn in Malvern Festival is a renowned series of
artistic events held annually in the surroundings of the glorious
Malvern hills. Some of the most prestigious musicians, poets,
writers, film makers and other artists perform during Autumn every
year. This year's festival runs from 24th September until late
October.
Events & Exhibitions
The festival is classical music based
with a strong literary and visual arts element together with a
highly successful music education outreach programme for young
people, established over the last 10 years.
The Festival Weekend events will
include an arts and crafts street market, literary talks plus many
interesting guided walks. Key events at the festival include The
world - famous Razumovsky Ensemble, directed by Oleg Kogan, will
present the principal concert in the Great Hall at Malvern College
with Alexander Sitkovetsky as the violin soloist on Saturday 29th
October.
Music & Literature of the Malvern
Hills Countryside will be performed in the Aldwyn Voices
concert given in the impressive surroundings of the 11th century,
Great Malvern Priory.
Another highlight not to be missed is
Severn Meadows, a sequence on the life of the Gloucestershire
poet and songwriter, Ivor Gurney. Marcus Farnsworth,
Baritone and James Baillieu, Piano, winners of the Wigmore Hall
International Song Competition, perform the music, and the life and
poetry of Gurney is narrated by Peter Florence, actor and Director
of the Hay on Wye Literary Festival.

There will also be a wide variety of Exhibitions taking place
during the festival. Artists will showcase their beautifully
created work of Malvern and the surroundings area every
weekend during the festival at various locations across
Malvern.

Tickets
Many of the events and exhibitions
during the Autumn in Malvern Festival are free. Other ticket prices
vary from £6 to £17.50.
The Autumn in Malvern Festival promote
a young persons entrey scheme where up to two young people aged 8
to 16 years can entre for free with a full paying adult.
