Worcestershire 'Walkies'Teme Valley

Worcestershire has vast amounts of open spaces which are great for taking your best friend for a walk.  You can choose  from a variety of Country parks and countryside sites in the north and the south of the county.  Please take a look below at the wealth of places below.  Please make sure you use the dog bins provided to keep our county tidy.  Some sites may have a 'dogs a lead' policy please ensure you stick to these regulations as many sites have an abundance of wildlife.

Worcestershire

The Worcestershire Way
The Worcestershire Way winds its way through 31 miles of beautiful Worcestershire countryside, including woodlands, orchards, historic towns and villages.

Waterway Network
The rivers Severn, Teme and Avon meander through Worcestershire enabling luscious fruit and scores of vegetables to be grown on the fertile plains.  Along with the rivers the historic canal network allows visitors to enjoy boating holidays, kayaking, rowing, fishing, walking, cycling and horse-riding.

North Worcestershire

Arrow Valley Country Park, Redditch
A 400 hectare country park with visitor centre, café and gift shop.  Superb lakeside trails & children's play area. 

Clent HillsClent Hills (National Trust) Nr. Bromsgrove
Over 440 acres of woodland & heath-land rising to over 1000 feet, offering panoramic views as far as Cotswolds & Welsh borders.

Hartlebury Common Nature Reserve, Nr. Stourport-on-Severn
A Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Worcestershire's most important and largest remaining heathland area.

Kingsford Forest Park, Nr. Kidderminster
A quiet & beautiful park, Kingsford lies on edge of dramatic red sandstone ridge.  With 200 acres of cool Pine forests & open heath land, miles of sandy tracks as well as more traditional broadleaved woods.

Waseley Hills Country Park, Nr. Bromsgrove
150 acres of grassy hills with panoramic views. Circular walks and orienteering course. Café is open daily with a large flat picnic area & adventure playground along with information point and toilets.

Wyre Forest (Forestry Commission), Nr. Bewdley
The Forestry Commission's beautiful woodland is managed for visitors, timber and wildlife, offering a wide range of recreational opportunities and the guarantee of a great day out.  You can go walking, orienteering as well as cycling on one of the many routes through the forest. Childrens play area and cafe on site.

100 acres of ancient woodland, 10 acres of wildflower meadow. 2 waymarked circular walks, children's play area. Information displays.

Evesham Country Park
Stroll around the 130 acre estate which has some of the most picturesque scenery the Vale of Evesham has to offer, including a mile and half of the River Avon.

The Malvern Hills
Malvern Hills provides the natural border between Worcestershire & Herefordshire offering walking & horse riding routes & excellent jumping off point for hang gliders.

St. Wulstan Nature Reserve, Malvern Wells
Located near to the Malvern Hills this 22 hectare Nature Reserve encompasses woodlands, wildflower meadows and scrub.
