Riverside Hotel and Restaurant
The Riverside Hotel is a unique and privately owned hotel set in a beautiful location with spectacular views overlooking the River Avon. The hotel can be found along a secluded, private drive, within the original 12th century Deer Park of Evesham Abbey.
All the bedrooms are beautifully appointed and each room has its own unique theme. All have been furnished with luxurious king size beds and ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms and some have the luxury of a sunken jacuzzi spa. Tea and coffee making facilities, TV and direct dial phone/internet/fax services are available and every bedroom has far reaching views overlooking the River Avon and countryside beyond.
The restaurant, with its wonderful views and luxurious ambience, is an integral part of the hotel and is renowned for its award winning cuisine, having, again, been awarded the Michelin AA two rosette award, and being recommended in Johannsens, Atkins Independent Guide for Fine Wines and Champagne, and featured on the BBC Holiday Programme.
The Riverside Hotel is set close to the delightful village of Broadway, the ‘capital’ of the Cotswolds – being only ten minutes drive away. The ancient wool market town of Chipping Campden is a little further as is Stow-on-the-Wold. Stratford-upon-Avon, home of Shakespeare, is where you will find the famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. There are also plenty of activities locally including golf, horse riding and miles of country walks, or you can fish on the banks of the Avon from the hotel grounds. The hotel has its own private mooring facilities for those who wish to arrive by boat or hire their own to cruise to Evesham and other local beauty spots. Cheltenham Spa, home of the Cheltenham Race Festival, is close by and other attractions include Hidcote Manor Gardens, Warwick Castle, Worcester Spode Factory and Cricket Ground.
The hotel is approximately 40 minutes drive from the NEC and Birmingham Airport. Standard room rate includes full English breakfast. Wedding and conference facilities, special occasion parties, summertime barbecues on decks overlooking the river, guest chef appearances, special Italian, Greek, fine wine/champagne nights are just some of the exciting events to be held at The Riverside.
When the BBC Holiday Programme featured The Riverside on television, presenters enthused about its spectacular location and described our fine food as being comparable with the top restaurants in London.
