David and Judy Lambe would like to welcome you to The Old Farmhouse – an elegant Georgian style country house set in attractive mature gardens in a peaceful rural setting and offering high class accommodation.
Our centrally heated rooms are furnished to a high standard to make your stay both comfortable and enjoyable. Two en-suite rooms in an annexe – a double and a twin – have total privacy from the house and are ideal for a family holiday. In the house are a further three en-suite bedrooms – two doubles and one twin room. All rooms have television, radio, tea and coffee making facilities, dressing gown, hair dryer etc. and ironing facilities are available.
There is ample off road car parking and our tennis court and gardens are there for our guests to enjoy. There is also a conservatory for our guests to relax in with lovely views over the garden.
Situated just off the A449 Worcester to Kidderminster road, we are only 5 miles from M5 junctions 5 and 6 and Worcester city centre and the attractive half timbered village of Ombersley is less than 2 miles distant. We are therefore an ideal overnight stop for holiday makers and business people alike.
A wholesome full English breakfast is served in our dining room – freshly laid eggs from our own poultry and homemade jams and a vegetarian breakfast can also be provided.
We do not provide evening meals but the Hadley Bowling Green pub is two minutes walk down the road which serves excellent food and there is a further choice of pubs and restaurants in Ombersley.
Within the area are many sporting facilities – golf, fishing, horse riding, leisure centres and of course our own tennis court within our grounds.
Worcester is an excellent shopping centre and Birmingham and Cheltenham are only half an hours drive away.
Tourist attractions include The Cathedral, the Royal Worcester Porcelain Factory and Museum, The Commandery (presently under refurbishment), Worcester Racecourse, the Cricket ground, Elgar’s Birthplace and Museum, many National Trust and English Heritage properties, the Severn Valley Railway which runs between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth and the West Midlands Safari Park at Bewdley.
