An ideal touring location in an area of outstanding natural beauty, half way up the Malvern Hills, Wayfarers was originally two quarrymen’s cottages, built in the 1840s, but has been well extended and improved, to provide spacious accommodation for family and friends, with glorious views across rolling Herefordshire countryside to the Black Mountains of Wales. Within walking distance of the Worcestershire Beacon on the highest point of the Malverns, the cottage offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy the many superb walks and panoramic views of the Severn Valley as well as Herefordshire and Wales.
There are plenty of local attractions to suit all tastes and ages, including the refurbished theatre and cinema in Great Malvern, with its lovely Priory Church, its shops and supermarkets and swimming pool only two miles by car (or half a mile over the hill). There is a corner shop and a quiet local pub with small restaurant 200 yards through the garden. The Elgar route and Eastnor Castle are both close by, while the cathedral city of Worcester is some eight miles away with its race course, river walks and trips, cinemas and pedestrian precinct of shops. Regency Cheltenham, Shakespeare’s Stratford, the Cotswolds, Ludlow, with its restaurants, and Hay on Wye, with its books and festival and the Welsh Borders are an easy drive away. Much closer are the market towns of Ledbury and river side town of Upton-upon-Severn.
