'STAYIN' ALIVE?' AT THE COUNTY MUSEUM….

This November the County Museum at Hartlebury Castle will again be hosting their popular Murder Mystery evenings where visitors get the chance to dress up, enjoy fabulous food and see if they can work out 'who dunnit'?'.

"Stayin' Alive? – A Murder Mystery" will take place on Sat 14 November (6.30-10pm).

The event is set in the summer of 1977 when glam rock is over, punk rock is just beginning and disco rules, but in sleepy Hartlebury everyone’s mind is on the forth-coming party to celebrate the silver jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Well, almost everyone's…Is there something odd in the cucumber sandwiches? Was that a firework or a gun shot? And when it’s time to cut the cake, where’s the knife gone?

The evening takes place in the magnificent medieval Great Hall of Hartlebury Castle. Tickets include a tasty, home cooked three-course meal and guests are encouraged to dress in 1970s costume and really get into the spirit of the evening. The murder happens before guests have even settled down to their starters, and in between courses the cast perform more scenes revealing details and clues as the night progresses. Guests also get an opportunity to question the various suspects before deciding 'who dunnit' and why, and there is a prize for the most accurate guess.

Pippa Ashmore, Events Manager, said: “Our Murder Mystery evenings are always hugely popular and the 1970s theme should be a good one this year. The food and the acting are always fantastic and visitors have a great time trying to solve the clues.'

Tickets for Murder Mystery are £36.50 and must be pre-booked on 01299 250416 (please note event is for over 16s only).
