Art lovers are in for a real treat at November’s Malvern Antiques & Collectors Fair. Taking place on Sunday 8th at the Three Counties Showground, the fair will feature all the quality antique and collectable goods you'd expect from the Worcestershire event, as well as a special area dedicated to fine art.

The Fine Art Selling Exhibition, will be hosted by Turner Fine Arts in the Linden Suite. It will feature the works of internationally renowned artists, giving visitors the opportunity to view - and purchase – some amazing one off pieces. It will also mark the start of a world tour for one young artist - Hamad Al Humaidhan of Kuwait. Known as the ‘young Picasso’, Hamad, who has recently turned 16, will be flying in to showcase his latest collection at the exhibition.

“This exhibition will feature outstanding talent”, said Helen Martin, Director at B2B Events who organise the fair. “It offers another dimension to our fair, giving those passionate about art access to some of the very best examples of fine art. We are especially thrilled that Hamad has chosen the Malvern Antiques & Collectors Fair as the event to begin his global tour”

It was in 2010, at the tender age of just ten, that Hamad’s cubist style resulted him being hailed as the ‘young Picasso’. His first collection of six acrylic paintings sold out within minutes of going on sale. His subsequent five collections have all been sell-outs and collectors around the world have been anticipating his next collection for the past three years. His first ever collection of oil paintings will go on sale this month, and will be on show for the general public to view at the Malvern event, where visitors will also be able to meet and greet the artist himself.

“Hamad will be flying in from Kuwait with his first ever collection of oil paintings”, continued Helen, “We are incredibly excited to welcome such exceptional young talent.”

Hamad is promoted by Steve Turner of Turner Fine Arts, and they are both looking forward to hearing people's views on the latest collection: “Hamad’s style of surrealism has matured immensely over the last five years”, said Steve, “and we are very excited to know what people think – from art critics through to the general public.”

Steve continued: “I absolutely admire the way in which Hamad approaches the canvas. He closes his eyes and pictures what he wants to paint in his mind. He then opens his eyes and transfers the image from his mind onto the canvas. We hope that people enjoy Hamad’s work and find it inspiring; and would like to follow his journey around the world.”

Five never before seen micro sculptures by Willard Wigan MBE will also feature in the exhibition. The minute sculptures need to be viewed via a microscope to be seen.

Other works include a bust of Winston Churchill by slate sculptor Stephen Kettle – made from over 27,000 pieces of Welsh slate, and glass sculpture La Sopresa by Walter Furlan.

Fine Art covering a wide variety of mediums will feature – from graffiti artist Temper, to Neon light artist Neo.

In addition to the Fine Art exhibition, the fair will have 150 exhibitors offering antique, collectable, retro and vintage goods. From small furniture, ceramics and glassware, to lighting, vintage clothing, jewellery and homewares there will be an excellent choice of quality goods for sale – perfect for getting a head start on the Christmas shopping!
