The start of Advent and Christmas are celebrated at Worcester Cathedral with a Candlelit Advent Carol Service on Sunday 3rd December at 6.30pm, to which all are warmly welcome.

Later the following week Cathedral visitors can enjoy the spectacular Festival of Christmas Trees, held in the Cathedral’s beautiful medieval cloister. This will be the seventh year that the glittering Christmas trees will line all four sides of the cloister producing a dazzling array.

The 91 trees are provided and decorated by local schools, businesses and charities, and visitors will be able to vote for their favourite in a People’s Choice Award. The festival welcomes thousands of visitors each year and in turn raises thousands of pounds for charity through generous donations.

Both events are an absolute must to help get in the festive mood during Advent and for Christmas and are free to attend. The Advent Procession by Candlelight inside the Cathedral is a wonderful, moving service and the Christmas Tree festival also offers a visual seasonal delight.

The Festival of Christmas Trees runs from Saturday 9 December to Thursday 4 January 2018, from 9am to 6pm. All are welcome.
