The 700 year old timber framed hall house, Lower End House, has been renovated with the highest attention to detail and style to offer three individually decorated double rooms with Fired Earth en suite bathrooms and two single rooms, sharing a large bathroom. The house can sleep up to eight guests and is available on a bed and breakfast basis and also for exclusive use hire; an ideal venue for that special occasion or celebratory event, including Christmas, New Year and Easter.
This lovely period house is full of character and is believed to be one of the oldest houses in Worcestershire and features items from Andrew Martin, Designers Guild, Mulberry and Fromental as well as many other highly distinctive touches such as the dramatic antler chandeliers hanging from the staircase and landing and the 'conversation sofa' that was once in Windsor Castle.
Lower End House is set on a 260 acre working farm (with two herds of award winning cattle), in a village location just outside the market town of Pershore, making it an ideal retreat to unwind and relax in the heart of the unspoilt Worcestershire countryside. The area is renowned for activities such as walking on the nearby Bredon or Malvern Hills, fishing on the local River Avon, shopping in the regency town of Cheltenham Spa or the neighbouring cathedral city of Worcester. Alternatively, guests can just enjoy the comforts of Lower End House.
We want to provide the very best and our emphasis in on quality…from the large comfy antique leather sofas and welcoming wood burning stoves throughout the downstairs to the mouth-watering breakfast, which includes homemade muesli, bread, preserves and marmalade to our fresh farm eggs and our own Gloucester Old Spot sausages.
Lower End House offers bed and breakfast only, although pre-organised dinner for exclusive use and corporate groups can be arranged. We are happy to prepare hampers and packed lunches if guests are heading out and about into the countryside. Guests can purchase drinks from the well stocked bar and wine cellar or help themselves to soft drinks throughout their stage in the Aga fridge in the kitchen, which will then be charged to room accounts.
