You have come to the right place for a safe, relaxed and fun day out on the river with a nostalgic return journey by steam train.

We specialise in open top Canadian style canoe trips for families and friends, office parties, businesses, sports clubs, Stag and Hen parties and all types of outdoor clubs, whether novice or expert. In fact many of our clients are indeed beginners.

The River Severn, which teems with wildlife, is the longest river in Britain and winds through Worcestershire and Shropshire, offering you a perfect opportunity to experience their natural beauty. Drifting down river by canoe is the best way of appreciating this beautiful secret corner of England and this is one reason why we have many happy returning customers year after year.

Day Trip 1: Bridgnorth-Arley

10.5 miles with a pub stop and steam train return

Our most popular trip from Bridgnorth to Arley is a 10.5 mile paddle downstream. The group assembles at Severn Park, Bridgnorth at 9.45am where we will meet you with the canoes.

After a briefing about canoeing techniques and safety issues you start with a six mile paddle to Hampton Loade. At this point there is a stop for about an hour for lunch, (you can either purchase this at the pub or bring a picnic and eat outdoors). In the afternoon you continue downstream to Arley. This is about 4.5 miles.

From there your return journey is on the Severn Valley Steam Railway, which delivers you back to the train station at Bridgnorth. This is a 10 minute stroll from your start point. You usually get back to your car at approx 5pm.

¦The prices are £30.00 for adults and £18.00 for children. (6/7 years old is our minimum age and children need to be able to swim at least 50 metres)
¦The price includes all your equipment, safety talk and tips before departure and the return ticket for the steam train.


Day Trip 2: Bridgnorth-Bewdley

14.5 miles with a pub stop and steam train return

This popular trip from Bridgnorth to Bewdley is a 14-mile paddle downstream. The group assembles at Severn Park, Bridgnorth at 9.45am where your guide will meet you. After a briefing about canoeing techniques and safety you start with a 6 mile paddle to Hampton Loade. At this point there is a possible stop for about an hour for an early lunch, (you can either purchase this at the pub or bring a picnic and eat outdoors).

In the afternoon you continue downstream to Arley. This is about 4.5 miles. This area is suitable for a short stop allowing for a stretch of the legs and, if required, refreshments purchased from the Post Office stores. Continuing downstream for 4 miles, the second afternoon stretch includes the rapids at Trimpley.

You arrive in Bewdley and from there your return journey is on the Severn Valley Steam Railway which transports you back to the train station at Bridgnorth. This is a 10 minute stroll from your start point. You usually get back to your car at approx 6pm.
