Personal Welcome & Behind the Scenes
For pre booked groups of 20 and over we offer a visit that includes a personal welcome and introductory talk by a member of staff, a chance to view at first hand some of the items in our china and archive stores and listen to recordings of the wonderful memories of past workers at the Royal Worcester Factory. The behind the scenes visit also includes entrance to the museum.
**New Offer** Royal Worcester Ornamental Figurines and Vases, 1969 – 2007
Royal Worcester Ornamental Figurines and Vases, 1969 – 2007 by Master Potter, Roger Green. With over 40 years experience of specialising in Ornamental Ware Roger is well qualified to take visitors through the process of figurine construction from design to the conveyor belt. His role at Royal Worcester covered every aspect of production and he will talk about the many designers and characters he worked with and use real examples to show how the models were cut into pieces, blocked and cased and then propped for firing in the kiln. Many different skills are required in the Ornamental Department and, with the use of his own quirky stories about the eccentric workforce and factory social scene, Roger will unravel a process that took seven months from design to completion. This talk is for groups of 20+ and must be pre booked.
