Details

Discovery Trail is a walk-through area where you will find indoor exhibits like Lorikeet Landing, Creepy Crawlies, Seaquarium, Mark O’Shea’s Reptile World, Twilight Cave – as well as Sea Lion Theatre, Hippo Lakes, car parking and various talks and animal encounters.

The new Lorikeet Landing is an amazing heated indoor exhibit, where you can get up close and personal to our flock of rainbow lorikeets and even try your hand at feeding them for a small extra charge. Their specially designed walk-through enclosure includes state of the art eco heating to help these Australasian parrots feel at home at a balmy 18 degrees celsius, which keeps them healthy and happy.

Observe our Humboldt Penguins dive and frolic around their home at Penguin Cove, emerging from the water to “chill” on their beach.
Their enclosure includes a pool with semi-submerged beach, sculptures, penguin house and public viewing areas.

Watch our Californian sea lions show off their amazing skills in daily shows at the specially designed Sea Lion Theatre. There's even a chance to become Star of the Sea Lion Show, where you will meet a sea lion, collect a certificate, fact sheet and special photo to take home. (booking essential www.wmsp.co.uk/vip )

African Village is situated by the lakeside, past the pod of hippos, and is where “Meerkat Mayhem” and “Walking with Lemurs” can be found. Here you can also feed our friendly Somali sheep, pygmy goats or Cameroon sheep.
