Details

Brockhampton Estate is a traditionally farmed estate and medieval manor house.

At the heart of Brockhampton Estate which has 687-hectare (1,700-acre) farmed estate land, lies Lower Brockhampton, a romantic timber-framed manor house dating back to the late 14th century.

The house is surrounded by a moat and is entered via a charming timber-framed gatehouse, built 1530-40.

There are miles of walks through the park and woodland, featuring ancient trees, the picturesque Lawn Pool, and various sculptures depicting parts of the history of Brockhampton and the local area.

This is home to a rich variety of wildlife, along with historic farming breeds such as Hereford cattle and Ryeland sheep.
And for families it’s time to play!

At Brockhampton, we love the outdoors and finding ways for you to explore as much of the estate as possible. We’ve way marked walks and orienteering, now it’s time to have fun on our new nature trail through Paradise Valley at Lower Brockhampton, which families can climb, balance, build or swing their way around.
All year round Geocache Challenge

Two challenges are available, one around Lower Brockhampton and the other around the wider Estate. Find hidden ‘caches’ or ‘treasures’ using GPS devices. We have devices to hire on select days. (£5 charge for GPS hire) or bring your own anytime. Great for all ages. Remember to wear sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing. Don’t forget to bring something to swap. Dogs on leads welcome.
