Legend has it that the Devil once visited this village. A man called upon a farmer to ask for work, and went on to work so fast and hard at his tasks that the farmer could not keep up. The farmer decided to test the man by asking him to count the corns in a heap of waste from the threshing, the man duly reported how many thousands of corn there were. It was therefore decided by all that he must be the Devil. The farmer was told by a gypsy that the only way he could get rid of the Devil was to give him a task he could never perform. The farmer cut a curly hair from his wife’s head and told the Devil to take it to the blacksmith and straighten it out, the gypsy was right, the Devil could not perform the task and never returned to the village
