Hartlebury Castle has a fascinating history, with many intriguing stories to tell. First given to Bishop Aelhun in 855AD, the Castle continued to be home to the Bishops of Worcester right up until 2007. Good to Know...

Last entry is 4pm. Dogs are allowed in the grounds of the Castle.On some days, due to private functions, the Bishops Palace, State Rooms and Grounds will be closed to visitors. On these days you can still visit the County Museum and learn all about the history of the County of Worcestershire.Please note we are closed between 24 December and 31 January.
