As the Summer Holiday’s approach, here at Visit Worcestershire we thought we would pull together our ‘Top Ten’ things to do with the Kids – all activities are ‘Open’ across our beautiful County.
Please plan your visit allowing for social distancing and check with the attractions for entry information.
If your little ones are into Animals, Worcestershire is the place for you. With a wide selection of Animal Parks and even a drive through Safari Park you can channel your inner David Attenbourgh while checking out penguins, lions and cheeky goats . Across the county there are various other places to have animal encounters including farm parks and a zoo.
West Midlands Safari Park (Kidderminster) which has achieved Visit England’s ‘Were good to go’ charter mark and is fully safe and open for business.
Cob House Country Park (Malvern) has a café, shop and pleasure fishing as well as a number of FREE to visit animals on site
Top Barn Farm (Outside Worcester) The farm is open for FREE animal visits, including new born chicks as well as sheep, goats and pony’s. The café and farm shop are open but some activities are still closed.
All Things Wild (Evesham) Open for outdoor activities . Numbers are restricted, so please pre-book for time slots
Little Owl Farm (Stourport) Is home to Kangaroos, Meerkats as well as your farm yard favourites. With a petting barn you can get up close and personal with a number of animals and with a huge soft play, there is something to keep you little ones busy for hours.
From parks, to the Malvern’s and beautiful woodlands, Worcestershire has loads to explore.

Or visit somewhere like the Wyre Forest which has a host of trails including the Gruffalo trail!

Why not get hands on with the past and visit one of the County’s fab museums, family favourites include:
The Commandry (Worcester) where you can re-live the Civil War and tell tales of the Ghosts that still live there.
Avoncroft Museum of Buildings (Bromsgrove) which is the UKs first Open Air Museum which hosts a fabulous collection of buildings and even has Dr Who’s Tardis!
Re-live the Golden Age of Steam by visiting one of our Heritage Railways, the magic of the engines, watching the Countryside roll by – it really is a magical day out:
Severn Valley Railway is already taking bookings for the Summer and even has some Adult days and Gin Trains.
Gloucester and Warwickshire Railway based in Broadway is planning to open with a limited timetable over summer 2021.
Evesham Light Railway for a mini steam experience.
‘Pick your own’ is a Summer Holiday tradition (as is eating the yummy fruit fresh from the vine ssh). There are a number of farms across the county that offer PYO with various fruit from strawberries to cherries. Here are a few we know are open with availability:
