About this event

Dates, address & more

Over May half-term, between May 27th and June 4th, take a journey on the Severn Valley Railway as we end May in style! Spend a full day with us by booking Freedom of the Line Tickets or, if you’ve got younger children, why not take a fantastic-value shorter journey from Kidderminster or Bridgnorth to Highley?

PLUS, every Freedom of the Line ticket includes a free return for all passengers, ensuring you can return and see everything you’ve missed! T&Cs apply.

We’ll be running between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth – and there’s so much to discover! Visit The Engine House and get up close to our out of action locomotives, including blue locomotive ‘Gordon’, visitors can experience what life is like on the footplate, discover how a steam engine operates and the hidden past of Britain’s railways.

Take a brick-built tour around our Highley visitor centre and travel back thousands of years to see Velociraptors, Diplocaulus, Ankylosaur, a trio of Archaeoceratops and much more – made from over 500,000 bricks.

See it all and experience a dino-mite day as you travel by steam train and experience the golden age of heritage travel, before seeing the brick-built Jurassic Age in all its wonder!

Entry to The Engine House is free, but the best way to see the Severn Valley Railway is by booking train tickets.

Family travel tickets start from £50 for one adult and two children and £75 for two adults and up to four children – including a free eye-spy booklet for every child
