The world acclaimed Band of the Grenadier Guards is delighted to be performing in the fabulous setting of Worcester Cathedral and inspirational programme of music in a commemorative concert to mark Worcestershire World War 100. The Grenadier Guards, the senior Regiment of Foot Guards was formed in 1656 and its band in 1685. It has provided musical support to many State occasions, national and international events and the Regiment in peace and in war.
The band remains at the peak of military music but is able to provide a very broad repertoire encompassing all forms of music and different configurations including fanfare trumpets and an ensemble dressed in period costume playing the music of the 18th century.
