Feckenham Artisans Autumn Exhibition

About this event

Dates, address & more

This exhibition will feature new work by 11 local artisans. It will include a range of painting styles, needlework, felting, printmaking, digital art and photography, artisan flowers, greeting cards, finger rings, ECO T-shirts, and small furniture! What everything has in common is that it is original work, handmade in the village. With Christmas not far away, this will be an ideal opportunity to source some individual gifts, whilst also supporting local artisan makers. The Artisan's themselves will be available all weekend to discuss their work and potential commissions. There will also be demonstration sessions in felting, painting with pastels, calligraphy, needlework and textiles, and creating artisan flower displays.Following the success of their 'Celebrating Nature' exhibition in Oct 2021, Feckenham artists Julian Bull and Ian Ridley talked about forming a local Art group.A call was put out in January this year. 9 other artisan makers from the village came forward to join the new group, Feckenham Artisans. The membership criteria were producing handmade original work, and live or work, in the village.Members have freely shared experience and knowledge, as well as benefiting from being part of a support group of like-minded makers, all keen to grow their practice. The group meets monthly and to-date, the group has exhibited at 2 local events, building up to this inaugural Autumn Exhibition. You can follow their progress on Facebook and Instagram.

Morton Hall Garden isn't far away

Morton Hall Gardens are located on the crest of a steep embankment. The eight acres of garden and park combine historic and modern features in a highly aesthetic fashion and provide the backdrop for a collection of nearly a thousand plants.
