Join us on Saturday & Sunday as you meet costumed characters from the Castle’s history. Hear their wonderful stories, enjoy hands on displays and activities and see into the magnificent and unique Hurd Library.

Following Heritage Lottery Funding, Hartlebury Castle has been transformed. Now visitors can step into history and explore areas of the Castle never before open to the public, promenade along the reinstated Long Gallery, find hidden rooms, marvel at talking portraits, enjoy hands-on activities and unearth stories about the Castle and those that lived here.
Discover the beautiful State Rooms of the Bishop’s Palace and follow in the footsteps of royalty as you stroll around the moat.
Situated within the castle, is also the County Museum with stories and objects from Worcestershire’s fascinating past including costumes, transport and toys.
Throughout Saturday and Sunday, costumed characters will be around the Castle to share stories and make your visit extra special. The Hurd Library will also be open between 11am – 2pm for visitors to see into and learn more about this fascinating room and its wonderful books.
