This event provides everyone with a unique family opportunity to join in with members of Colonel Nicholas Devereux’s Regiment at the lovely Avoncroft Museum, Bromsgrove to see what it was like during this difficult period of Britain’s history.
Devereux’s Regiment is re-enacted by Colonel Nicholas Devereaux’s Regiment of the English Civil War Society, a renowned re-enactment group, The Devereux’s Regiment, has a passion for bringing the past to the present, it was established in the early 1970s and has members from all over the UK. The society is based in the West and West Midlands and aims to portray military and domestic life to a high standard.
This unique experience will give you an opportunity to take part in:
- Looking at and dress up in period clothing,
- Try on the armour
- Take part in musket and pike drills,
- Play the military drums,
- Learn sword fighting moves,
- Look at authentic crafts of the time,
- Look at the work of our immersive living history team in the Merchant House
- Kiddies musket and pike drills
- Lots of other kiddies activities
Bring all the family along to have some family fun with Colonel Nicholas Devereux’s Regiment at Avoncroft Museum.
Ticket includes entry to all the 19 acre grounds and buildings structures and collections of Avoncroft Museum.
