About this event
Dates, address & more
There will be interacting opportunities both in the buildings, and around the comprehensive site, at Avoncroft Museum.
Over the two days, there will be displays of historic vehicles, displays by the Observer Corps, Dispatch Riders, the Women's Land Army, and of U.S. Army Training, as it prepared for D-Day in 1944 in Herefordshire. Many of the buildings will be brought to life with displays and occupants. Plus, there is the chance for some Vintage Shopping and a Vintage Hair Stylist to get your Victory Rolls in place! All this plus vintage tunes and entertainment by Vintage Class, Kitten Von Mew, and Jo Thomas (George Formby).
This is all included in a regular day ticket to the museum with concessions, family, child, and adult ticket options.
In addition to the two weekend days, the museum is also opening on the evening of Saturday 15th October. A 1940s Evening of Music and Dance will extend the event into the night. This is a separate ticket event (16.50), being held in the magnificent New Guesten Hall. There will be wartime music by singer Brandyn Shaw, the duet Vintage Class , and DJ Guy Roles, who will spin the Discs of the Day .
Food and Drink will be available to purchase from Bars on The Run, The Fish & Chip Van, and The Museums Tearooms.
Join in and dress up for the event if you wish!
