Pack up the car, pack in the kids and head to Ragley for a fun day out that the whole family will enjoy. Open from 22nd March every weekend until the end of October 2014 as well as during Warwickshire school holidays and bank holidays.
For an action packed day, let the kids run wild in the Adventure Wood, get lost in the 3D maze and take kayaks out onto the Lake or if you’re looking for a more peaceful day then take in the Woodland Walk, have a picnic next to the picturesque lake, stroll through Ragley Gardens, explore the Sculpture Collection and take a guided tour of Ragley Hall.
Whatever it is that brings your family and friends together, Ragley is the place to do it!
The Woodland Walk is something that should definitely be on your ‘to do’ list during your visit to Ragley.
It’s a great place for a family adventure, a wonderful environment for nature lovers to explore, a quiet get away for ramblers and an ideal location for the avid photographer or artist.
The woodland is carefully managed to ensure it remains a valuable habitat and haven for indigenous flora and fauna. The trail will lead you through grassland, an arcade of cherry trees, established woodland and young plantations. The Ragley woodlands are home to an abundance of wildlife so keep a keen eye open for deer, pheasants and a plethora of birds and other woodland creatures.
Woodland Walk maps are complimentary and available from the entrance kiosk and the gift shop.
Walking time is approximately 45 to 60 minutes with some moderate inclines. Dogs are permitted but we do kindly as you to keep them on a lead. Sensible footwear is recommended.
Unfortunately the Woodland Walk is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
