Worcestershire is a great destination for sporting enthusiasts.

Shelsley Walsh is the oldest motor-sport venue in the world to still run events, and as one of Britain’s oldest racecourses, Worcester Racecourse has been hosting racing since 1718. Worcestershire County Cricket Club plays Championship Cricket and was formed way back in 1865.

The Worcester Warriors currently compete against the best players in rugby union in the Aviva Premiership and the Worcester Wolves basketball club play in the British Basketball League (BBL). There are also other sporting venues located close to Worcestershire, such as the premiership football club West Bromwich Albion Football Club.

As well as watching sports, there are a huge variety of golf courses and fisheries available in Worcestershire, as well as activity centres for water-sports, rock-climbing, leisure centres, swimming pools, gymnasiums, tennis courts and sports clubs.
