To coincide with the launch of Make it Worcestershire, the new celebration of all produce made in Worcestershire, our Foodie Friday blog this week features some amazing Worcestershire food producers who have all committed to display the Make It Worcestershire logo!

Kits Kitchen is a family owned business based in the Worcestershire Countryside. They produce an award winning range of handmade Chutney’s, Pickles & Dressing’s.
Kits Kitchen was formed over a discussion at a Worcestershire pub between the three partners over 15 years ago. Each partner bringing their unique family recipes and combined experience together to start the business.
Kits Kitchen has a range of 14 products, with all but 3 of the products winning great taste and diamond awards. All products are carefully hand made to ensure the best quality of each jar.
Wychbold Fudge is a small family business, based in the village of Wychbold near the spa town of Droitwich, Worcestershire. Every single piece of luxury fudge is made entirely by hand in the Wychbold Fudge kitchen, as well as being hand wrapped and labelled.
The whole family is involved from start to finish. The Beck family’s aim is to develop creativity and business skills for their two children in order to help build their confidence and life experience further. The whole family love getting creative in the kitchen and making delicious fudge to supply to small local businesses and farm shops for everyone to enjoy!
The Cosy Chocolate Company
The Cosy Chocolate Company are passionate producers of ‘make at home’ flaked drinking chocolate. The products are all dairy free, gluten free, and hand crafted to deliver the perfect, cosy ‘hot chocolate moment’.
Recipes are kept simple, with an emphasis on quality, producing a range of flavours from buttery sweet Salted Caramel to luxuriously rich 70% Dark. The cocoa is sourced ethically, and the Cosy Chocolate Company have also just released their first single origin Madagascan craft chocolate bar, which they proudly produce bean-to-bar within Worcestershire.
Croome Cuisine is a family run business based in Whittington, Worcester founded by Nick Hodgetts who has 30 years of cheese making experience under his belt.
Established in 2010, Croome Cuisine are passionate about creating cheeses and relishes that reflect the iconic flavours of our region.
Strong links have been forged with local manufacturers to create multi award-winning cheeses including the Worcester Sauce and Shallots using the one and only Lea and Perrins Worcester Sauce, Worcestershire Hop sourcing Hops from Hop Yards in Worcestershire and our deliciously creamy, mature Worcestershire Gold.
The Worcestershire Honey and Figs and Worcestershire Honey and Ginger cheeses both contain honey which is collected from the resident bees on site at Croome Cuisine while the Scrumpy and Crunchy Apple contains the locally produced Weston’s Old Rosie Cider.
Over recent years Croome Cuisine have received accolades such as The British Cheese Awards (Best Flavoured Cheese – both sweet and savoury), People’s Choice at the Royal Three Counties Show, Stars at the Great Taste Awards and more recently Gold at the International Cheese Awards 2018 for Best Cheese with Savoury Additives.

In 2020, at a time when the craft cider movement is gathering a global following, and demand for high-quality local produce continues to increase, we’ve taken the decision to not only refresh our labelling, but also our name!
Pershore Press was created to reflect the traditions of our craft production methods, and the heritage of horticulture in the Vale of Evesham. Pershore Press is a commercial enterprise of Pershore College (part of WCG), our profits make a direct contribution to education in Worcestershire.
The popularity of our juice & cider is not only due to the quality and provenance of our fruit, but also our traditional production methods.
This commitment to taste and quality has been recognised with numerous accolades, including Reserve Champion for the West Midlands, best Worcestershire Cider producer and a host of Great Taste awards.
