What’s On: Halloween

It’s spooky season and here in Worcestershire we are looking forward to pumpkins, ghosts and fancy dress fun! So show off your vampire teeth or dust off your broomstick and let’s get scary!!

Atwell Farm Park 

There’s lots of scaretastic events to enjoy at Atwell Farm Park with pumpkin carving, ghastly ghost hunt and sweet treat fancy dress.

You’ll be able to pick your own pumpkin to carve and take home with you to scare all your neighbours, solve a puzzle by hunting for the ghosts hidden around the farm, and if you do it all in your best spooky costume you might win a prize!

 

Bewdley Museum

Bewdley Museum will have a children’s craft activities in the Saw yard area from Monday 26- Friday 30 October, where you can decorate your very own Halloween bag, zombie coin banks, decorate a Halloween apron and bedroom banners.

There will also be a Halloween Trail from the museum, taking place between Monday 26- Sunday 1 November £2 per trail with a prize at the end.

On Saturday 31 October Dippy’ s Outdoor Halloween Extravaganza  will  be taking place in the Green Theatre in Jubilee Gardens!

First Performance 4.45-5.30pm, followed by Fancy Dress and Pumpkin Judging. Gates open at 4.30pm. Refreshments available from The Garden Kitchen.

Second Performance 6.15pm-7pm, followed by Fancy Dress and Pumpkin Judging. Gates open from 6pm. Finish at 7.15pm.  Booking is essential, and you must bring your own picnic chairs and sit in groups of no more than 6 or your family bubbles.

Witley Court

Witley Court have lots of spooky goings on this October, no matter your age.

For the little ones, The Halloween trail will has you solving creepy clues and listening to spooky stories for the day! There is even a fancy dress competition with prizes to win!

For the slightly older kids, maybe an evening woodland walk is more your thing? Why not join some ghost hunters on an evening trip through the grounds with storytelling in the shadows.

And for the adults, if you want to get really spooky, it’s ghost tour time! Learn more about the tragic past of Witley Court and the supernatural stories. You might even get a glimpse of the ghostly apparitions that are rumoured to haunt the ruins. This one isn’t for the faint hearted!

West Midland Safari Park

Throughout October West Midlands Safari Park are bringing the spooky spectacular with their brand new scratch card trail.

Can you solve the mystery of the pumpkin thief and earn yourself a sweet treat?

The safari park will be launching itself into full Halloween mode, complete with Halloween decorations including illuminated, themed scarecrows and hundreds of pumpkins!

Little Owl Farm Park

Throughout the Halloween period, Little Owl Farm Park welcomes witches, ghouls, and monsters to visit in their finest costumes!

You can Pick Your Own pumpkin to carve, enter the fancy dress competition, investigate the terrifying tunnel of darkness, go on a potion quest treasure hunt, AND if that wasn’t enough, your  little vampires can sink their teeth into a make your own chocolate apple!
