In order to get the best possible pumpkin for carving or making a delicious pumpkin soup, you need to find a good pumpkin patch! Here are a few places in Worcestershire that you can pick your own pumpkin…
Just off the A449 at Hartlebury, Bell’s is a welcoming family run farm shop with a big Pick Your Own selection, so if you are looking for other winter warmer soup ingredients then you won’t have far to go!
Bell’s have lots of different shapes and sizes of pumpkins on offer this year, and even have a variety of colours for you to choose from. Grab your wellies and your best autumnal outfits and get out into the pumpkin fields to pick your favourite.
The field at Bell’s are very spacious for social distancing and a one way system is in place with hand washing and sanitiser for wheelbarrows.
Clive’s Fruit Farm in Upton upon Severn is another one famed for it’s Pick Your Own offering.
The farm shop includes a deli and butchery selling lots of local produce. Clive’s also have a café on site with outdoor space for you to enjoy your coffees and cakes!
Don’t forget to say hi to the chickens, ducks and geese that call Clive’s home!
There is a small charge for Pick Your Own pumpkins at Clive’s to cover the cost of staffing.
Churchfields farm has lots more to offer than just delicious melt-in-your mouth farmhouse ice cream.
On the 10/11 Oct and 17/18 Oct you can pick your own pumpkin from Churchfields’ pumpkin patch, then from 24 October until November it is pumpkin festival time!
There will be lots of photo opportunities, a spooky maize trail, and fun to be had in the pumpkin barn!
