Avoncroft Museum: rescuing 700 years of history

Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings near Bromsgrove is an award-winning museum with a collection of rescued and restored buildings spanning seven centuries of history.

The Museum is conveniently situated between Birmingham and Worcester and set in 19 acres of picturesque grounds with a large, free car park, a shop and an award-winning Tea Room.

There are 30 restored and re-erected buildings including a working 19th century windmill, a Medieval Town House, a fully-furnished 1940s prefab and the National Telephone Kiosk Collection. There are also tributes to the Midlands’ industrial heritage, including a 100 year forge and a 19th century chain-making shop.

As well as the collections of exhibits, Avoncroft Museum has a children’s play area, an orchard containing traditional varieties of cider apples and perry pears, a picnic area and a wild flower meadow.
There is a lively programme of events throughout the year, including historical re-enactments, open-air theatre and family fun days.

Adults: £11.00* Seniors (Age 60+): £9.90* Students: £6.60* Children (Ages 5 to 16): £6.60* Children (Under 5 years): Free Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children): £33.00* *These prices include a voluntary donation which enables the Museum to claim Gift Aid from the Government. Just let the member of staff know when you are buying your ticket if you are not a UK taxpayer and unable to Gift Aid your admission.
