Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway – Groups
The Railway Station, Toddington, Gloucestershire, GL54 5DT
A day on the railway such as the GWR offers value for money and an insight into a gentler age of train travel. This re-creation of a bygone era is dynamic, active and exciting.
Have you ever thought about hiring your own train for a special occasion? Over the years we have welcomed many groups that have decided rather than to book seats on a service train they would rather have their very own train for either a day or an evening. And with over 250 seats on our steam trains, the cost can work out at just a few pounds per person. A lot cheaper than hiring a room at a hotel and completely different!
As examples of events during the past few years, we have been pleased to play host to wedding groups, golden wedding celebrations, club outings, brownie visits, family get togethers and a whole lot more. We have organised special fish and chip evenings, wine and cheese events, and wine tastings etc. And this year because we have a split line, we can offer not only our traditional steam train evening charter from Winchcombe and Cheltenham Race Course, but also a smaller charter on our diesel rail car (DMU) from Toddington. So how about hiring this for a smaller gathering or social outing. And again, the hire can be for part of the day, the whole day or the evening. You decide!
If you would like to know more please e mail us at email@example.com and we will do what we can to help you.
