Worcester Warriors’ Sixways Stadium home is a great place to visit, whether you’re a diehard rugby union supporter or just looking for your first taste of the sport.
The matchday atmosphere is unmissable, something illustrated during Warriors’ Greene King IPA Championship play-off final victory over Bristol Rugby in May 2015 – as they secured a dramatic late turnaround to gain promotion back to the Premiership.
With international stars in their ranks, Warriors have since remained in the top flight and are now looking to make strides up the table, while also challenging for the European Challenge Cup and Anglo-Welsh Cup.
With state-of-the-art training facilities and a recently-installed Artificial Grass Pitch, Sixways has also played host to a number of other sporting events such as the Women’s Premiership Rugby Finals and British and International American Football Finals, while also hosting football competitions several nights a week.
The pitch has also seen large-scale events such as Bryan Adams’ Get Up concert and Nitro Circus Live in recent years.
Off the field, Sixways is also famous for hosting Christmas parties, conferences and weddings, meaning everyone can take advantage of the fantastic facilities. Open all year round, the 56-acre Sixways site has over one thousand car parking spaces and boasts over 200,000 visitors a year. The Club is continuing to progress at every opportunity, meaning the future looks incredibly bright.
