Spetchley Park Gardens – Groups
A beautiful 30 acre garden for all tastes and ages offering one of the largest private collections of plants outside the major botanical gardens. Enjoy glorious gardens, a deer park and wonderful Tea Room serving lunches and afternoon teas.
At Spetchley you will find most aspects of gardening, the formal and informal, woodland and herbaceous.
April and May produce a wonderful display of spring bulbs, especially daffodils, as well as flowering trees and shrubs. The large collection of roses, both old-fashioned and modern, come into their own in June and July, whilst July, August and September reveal the great herbaceous borders in all their glory. Late September sees the start of the autumn tints. This is indeed a garden for all Seasons, and has been described as one of horticulture’s best-kept secrets.
Close by is the Deer Park with its fine herds of red and fallow deer. This has changed little since the 17th Century and makes a delightful walk. (The Deer Park is only open at set times of the year, please ask for details.)
Spetchley is undergoing a historical “revival”. Extensive restoration work to the Lake is now complete along with the conversion of the Old Cart Sheds into a Heritage and Learning Centre. A new car park and Welcome Centre have also given the Garden a much needed “face-lift”.
Discounted rates for Groups of 15 and over are available.
You are welcome to explore the Gardens at your leisure, or alternatively we offer Guided Tours for up to 25 people. Each tour takes up to 90 minutes and allows you to ask questions on various garden management issues.
