Housed in an elegant five storey Grade II listed Georgian building, Centenary Lounge Worcester continues the traditions of serving great food in period-style.
Housed in an elegant five storey Grade II listed Georgian building, Centenary Lounge Worcester continues the traditions established by our Birmingham venues, serving great food in period-style.
The ground floor café has been refurbished in the beautiful Art Deco-style we are passionate about and renowned for, whilst a small area of Victorian tiles behind the bar has been restored, continuing to provide you with an authentic experience of what it was like in the bygone years of Britain’s railways.
Go up the stunning sweeping staircase, an architectural feature inspired by the grand style of the Queen Mary ocean liner, to the first-floor tearoom. Here, we honoured the building’s Georgian heritage, featuring the stunning original 1730s original wall panels and fireplace.
Sample our sophisticated three-course menu and light elevenses menu, both designed by Head Chef, Elson Castro who was classically trained by two Michelin starred chefs. With exquisite attention to detail, Elson has created authentic dishes inspired by the original 1930s GWR Railway Dining Car menus, including classic English and continental dishes.
Continuing our dedication to freshness and high quality, all food is prepared on site daily using the finest seasonal ingredients and local produce where possible.
Relax with a choice of coffees, teas, smoothies and frappés, or treat yourself to a selection of 1930s inspired creations from our elegant cocktail bar.
Within our grand five storey building you will find the Centenary Lounge headquarters as well as two further rooms complete with all original features, including another Georgian fireplace. These two rooms can be hired out for private events for up to 15 people and are accessed via the original Georgian staircase at the back of the building.
Centenary Lounge Worcester is situated in the heart of Worcester city centre, a stone’s throw from Foregate Street Station and close to many shops and office buildings.
