The property, located within the remains of the old medieval city walls, is a Grade 2 listed building on a pedestrianised street dating from the Georgian period and is set in a conservation area adjacent to Worcester Cathedral. The composer Sir Edward Elgar, whose works include Pomp and Circumstance March No.1 (Land of Hope and Glory) and the Enigma Variations, lived here as a child in Victorian times.

There is one sofa and two chairs is this room, affording some privacy away from the main living area if required. A hairdryer and alarm clock is provided in the main bedroom. On the same floor is a separate toilet.
The bathroom is on the second floor and has a modern shower, high-flush toilet and pedestal wash basin. There is no bath. Adjacent to it are bedrooms 2 and 3. The former has two single divan style beds and the latter has one 4ft divan bed (this is a small double bed). Both bedrooms have views to the cathedral.
Worcester city centre cottage provides quality, unique, self-catering holiday accommodation in the heart of the City of Worcester.
Worcester is a great city to visit and this house, under the shadow of the Cathedral and Edward Elgar’s boyhood home is a very special place. The house is very well and thoughtfully equipped. We lacked nothing. Guy the owner responded immediately to any query and we are so glad we participated in his Worcester town guided tour. The city is central to a number of National Trust properties and gardens as well as being close to the Malvern Hills for walking. All in all, a great experience and highly recommended.

An amazing house to stay in, especially if you’re a music fan! Guy made sure we had everything we could possibly need and more. Can highly recommend- especially if you’re involved with something at the cathedral – there’s nowhere closer!!

I can only say glowing things about our stay here! We had an amazing stay. On arrival we were met by Guy and the welcome package, children’s Xmas presents, children’s cot, highchair, plates. Truly wonderful hosts and felt like home from home. We have a 4 and 2 yr old and Guy kindly organised an Xmas tree in the house for the kids. Nothing was ever too much trouble! We hosted Xmas dinner for our family and will fondly remember this holiday. The house is immaculate and has possibly everything you could ever need! We look forward to stay here again next time we visit Family!
