The Orchard at Worcester Woods Country Park has reopened for visitors to dine in inside, and it has had a makeover! We have the lowdown on the changes to the café and to the menu.
The Orchard is based at Worcester Woods Country Park making it the perfect spot for a brisk walk followed by some really delicious fresh food in a cosy setting.
Food is made by a small team of chefs using local, seasonal ingredients wherever possible, and the new menu includes vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.
The head chef, Mark Jones has been at The Orchard for 8 years and has designed both an outdoors menu aimed at grabbing a snack after a dog walk, and a fantastic new indoor menu reflecting the family feel and relaxed atmosphere of The Orchard.
Visit highly recommends taking a look at the rice bowl selection, for a healthy and delicious lunchtime treat.
The new decor invites the woodland inside, with blossom tress, lots of plants and fairy lights to add to the magic on a cold winter’s day.
Muddy boots are welcome after a woodland walk and a bowl of freshly made soup is always waiting!
Takeaway coffees and food have been available during the pandemic, including The Orchard’s famous cakes which have been a firm favourite for the 14 years that the café has been at Worcester Woods.
Coffee, teas, sugars, hot chocolates are all Fairtrade and the team are particularly proud of their coffee, a premium ethical coffee which promotes carbon neutral coffee roasting and also supports Hope for Justice a charity that aims to eradicate modern day slavery. Local produce is also supported, with The Orchard’s apple juice produced at local fruit farm Mill Orchard.
The café is open from 11am until 4pm daily. Takeaway food and drink is available, between 9am and 5pm daily.
