We asked the owners of Uncover Britain Road Trips to tell us about their average day ….
7.00 am, we like an early start – it’s definitely tea for me.
We used to have a campervan/motorhome rental business and kept getting asked by our clients for ideas on where to go. So we created Uncover Britain Road Trips out of our passion for road tripping, helping people who own or rent a campervan or motorhome to discover new places. We provide digital guidebooks that contain everything you need to know to make the most of your road trip.
I go for a walk every morning, in the country lanes around my home. It helps me prepare for the day ahead.
Definitely omelettes – mushroom and tomato or asparagus and feta cheese in season, I love omelettes of all flavours.
Our road trips include hidden gems that would be hard to find yourself, things that are off the beaten track. Our afternoons are therefore normally focused on research, finding best view points, wild swims, country walks etc and we spend a lot of time promoting and linking in to local visitor attractions. We spend a lot of time creating rich, journey experiences – our road trips are far more than just going from A to B.
It’s quite hard to switch off at the end of the day, but I really love cooking for my family and then just letting my mind wander. What we do is really creative so thinking up new ideas is fulfilling and relaxing in itself.
Definitely researching, exploring and visiting new places in our campervan. We are very lucky as we can mix family leisure time with research and get to experience all these fantastic places before sharing them with our customers.
