The games are nearly here. How exciting!

Worcestershire is ready to welcome visitors and is only a stone’s throw away from the neighbouring West Midlands.

Filled with charm, heritage, countryside and canals. Droitwich Spa is beautiful place to visit!

The area can be reached in as little as 30 minutes by train with regular fast services. Droitwich is also located just off the M5 & M42 motorways making it easily accessible by car.

We’ve put together a visit of places to visit you won’t want to miss!

1. Hanbury Hall

One of the finest country houses in the heart of Worcestershire. The house was originally built for entertainment hosting summer parties with breath-taking landscape gardens. This National Trust property has an array of events and activities including an outdoor theatre and summer discovery trail.

2. Droitwich Lido

Hot weather = outdoor pool! Visit one of the last remaining inland, open-air swimming pools in the UK.

There’s plenty of fun for kids with water cannons and fountains to ensure a splashing time. Don’t forget to pop by Little Al’s Kitchen for a sweet treat or ice cream!

3. Churchfields Farm

A firm family favourite in Worcestershire! Meet farm animals, sample some of their award-winning ice cream and take a stroll with their many walking routes. The farm also has a packed event schedule with themed dinosaur weekends and fairy trails.

4. Birmingham & Worcestershire Canal

Worcestershire is full of nature and beauty. It is home to the Birmingham & Worcestershire canal, running for a total of 30 miles from Worcester to the city centre of Birmingham. There are many different routes and tow paths to follow with even a few traditional pubs along the way!

5. The Queen’s Head, Bromsgrove

The Queen’s Head is a tranquil setting with a gorgeous outdoor garden situated alongside the canal. There are a number of canalside walks which can be combined with a trip to this popular pub. Here you can find some of the tastiest wood-fired pizzas in the area alongside an extensive menu.

The perfect place to relax after a walk along one of Worcestershire’s most beautiful canals.
